I'm Back—And Why It Matters

Hey, it’s Barbara Dixon,
After many years away, I am back at what I feel is a critical time in history. Back from where you might ask? I left social media some years back and in my “free time" I was a caregiver multiple times, had a year from hell, and traveled. From the eighties until I stepped back I immersed myself in a wonderful journey of spirituality and self awareness. I read over 200 books, learned to be a hypnotherapist, was ordained and taught spiritual principles nationwide. I wrote 3 books and was a life coach and in 2018 I needed every bit of my training, that was the year from HELL. Let’s not even talk about the floods, I digress. There are many stories to share and stay tuned, I will be sharing them in future writings and/or videos.
Why now?
I’m embarking on a new journey. We are in the throes of a paradigm shift and whether we like it or not, it’s happening. Now, there are two ways this can go…for you or to you. As much as it may feel that we don't have choices, we do. There’s more available to us than either being “Part of the problem or part of the solution”, as Eldridge Clever said, which is a place to start and definitely worth considering. I say let’s raise our energy and be inspired. I certainly understand both points of view. I go from being terrified for our grandchildren and great grandchildren to being inspired that I live in a time when the structures that were “propping” up this world, be they political, religious, social, or corporate and breaking down
This world is breaking open
.This world and the way that we’ve been doing things is unsustainable and everyone, at some level, knows it. This knowledge of the breakdown is showing up as greed, polarity, hate, intolerance, and fearmongering on some fronts and on other fronts people are encouraged and inspired to create a future that works for everyone. People are where they are in consciousness. It’s easy for me to see both sides because people will and can only operate from where they are in consciousness. The activities that rise out of fear for the future are not the same activities that rise from faith in the future.
Let me be the change
Mel Robbins from her book, “The Let Them Theory” which is brilliant, she goes on to say “Let me”. Now, responsibility for change is back where it can really make a difference, with us as individuals. Let’s create the future, based on values, vision, purpose and mission, more along the lines of Gandhi, “Be the change you want to see”. Thomas Troward writes in The Edinburgh Lectures on Mental Science:
“My mind is the center of Divine operation. The Divine operation is always for expansion and fuller expression, and this means the production of something beyond what has gone before, something entirely new, not included in the past experience, though proceeding out of it by an orderly sequence of growth”.
I love the part about the production of something beyond what has gone before, something entirely new, that makes me tingle. So I am going to walk this out and hopefully you will join me. I have created Divine Tomorrows, to be a community of forward thinking, value-driven individuals who understand that we are stronger together than on our own. Join our community.
